  • Alexander Haines

    TEACHING ELDER

    Alexander Haines has served as pastor of First Presbyterian since 2019, teaching the Bible and leading alongside other elders in the church. He is involved in the community as a youth soccer coach and as a teacher and board member for the homeschool cooperative Coram Deo Academics. He and his wife Rachel are parents to five children.

  • Brent Gaines

    EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CHURCH

    Raised in South Carolina he moved to Howell in 2019. He has a passion for serving the community and deep love for God. He worked previously as a Mission Specialist for The Salvation Army in Greenville, SC helping those experiencing homelessness and/or drug addiction transition to the shelter or rehab program. He is married and a proud father of 2 girls. He is the go to person in the church office for friendliness, finances, and many other tasks.

  • Linda Herington

    ORGANIST/ACCOMPANIST

    Linda has been a church organist/pianist for over 50 years and has been a part of this congregation on and off for over 30 years. She graduated from Sherwood School of Music and has two years of music studies at Schoolcraft College.
